Making portrait by using a 4x5 camera

I had so much fun on this project. Firstly, we have a chance to know how to use a 4x5 camera. Secondly, we can reach out to lighting techniques in studio by using different professional lighting tools. It is a golden chance for us to learn how to use to tools and have a firsthand experience.

For deciding the light in the portrait, I chose to use a portrait of Queen Elizabeth made by Annie Leibowitz as a reference. As I like the lighting and the pose of the queen in this portrait, I choose to duplicate her posing and the lighting
May, Callie, Colton and I worked together. I appreciate their helps to help me finish this project. Although it was our first time to use a digital light meter, we can still applied what we have learnt in class. When we had trouble on using it, May googled its manual and tackled with the problem.
Eventually, all of us get the correct exposure.

During the analog process, I tried many times to get the picture sharp and well-focused. I have tried the digital filter, but it was not working. Then I started to use manual filter start by 2.5 and 3 and 3.5. I found 3.5 shows the most contrast.

This is the result I got.
